I just got the message that my ship's stamina is now 5 hearts, but when
I checked the FAQ on GameFAQs.com, it says that to get 5 hearts, you
need 4 or 5 parts of the same set. But so far the most of any set I have
is 3, so how did I get the extra heart?

I think you have three hearts to start with and when you get some matching
parts they give you two more. I have finished the game and all I ever had
was five hearts for the ship.
